I was initially introduced to acupuncture while going through a divorce, raising a small child, and running my own glass-blowing business. Stretched to the max, angry, exhausted, and completely overwhelmed, that first experience connected dots and answered questions I had been asking for years.
Do you mean to tell me that the emotions I am feeling are connected to my physical wellbeing?
An insatiable curiosity set in and for the first time in a long time I felt relaxed and grounded.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve been observing ways in which the body and mind are intimately connected. The wisdom of Chinese Medicine provides a unique perspective. It sees the entire person as a whole system, no different than the ecosystem of the environment. Nothing is separate and exploring this with people never seems to get old.
Over the past several years, my studies have focused on Chinese Herbal Medicine, a valuable addition to treating complex conditions alongside acupuncture. Clinically, my focus is on internal medicine, which includes autoimmune disorders, chronic illnesses, digestive disorders and hormones. These conditions often manifest as anxiety, insomnia, fertility issues, transitions through perimenopause and menopause, allergies, hypertension and pain, to name a few.
Please note I am no longer treating sports injuries or musculoskeletal pain. This does not include pain from chronic disorders. Please email me if you have any questions.
